Where YOU decide
which character out-whumps the other in catty dialogue.

THE CONTENDERS:

vs.
Susan Flannery
as Stephanie Forrester
Jennifer Gareis
as Donna Logan

The Stakes:

Donna is involved in an affair with Stephanie's husband, Eric--and has assisted him in regaining control of his company. Eric has in turn fired Stephanie, informing her that his ownership of the company is contingent on divorcing her. Stephanie. isn't. having it. She and Donna have it out.

Who comes out on top?

Ring the gong and make the call.

Donna. Stephanie got in some good zingers, but she loses grace under fire points for the slap, and Donna bounced right the hell back.

I remember Susan Flannery from her Dallas days, when she was a skinny little thing. She was a class act. Completely unimpressed with J.R., even after they slept together.

(This is fun. Keep it up.)

Donna is playing quite the bimbo these days, so her standing toe-to-toe with Stephanie is really impressive, in that context.

Susan Flannery has had a long run in this show. I hate to take away from women with girth, but she was much more impressive before her weight gain. Having this kind of face-off with Donna in her current look doesn't carry much, er, weight.

I have a really fun match-up in mind for next time. An old favorite. :)

Yeah, she's a bit to... *ahem* matronly to be playing the sessy wife anymore.

I haven't watched B&B in like 12 years, but I was so sad when Sally Spectra died :(

I'm probably Team Stephanie here since I dont think I know who other girl is.

Ridge looks like skeletor now.. dude has to be in his mid 40s at least and he's still got the feathered hair, like he's still a convincable heartthrob.

The Sally character was a great old broad. From what I've read of her history on the show, she had a good run, and really made a mark.

I don't think Ridge will ever be put out to pasture as a "leading man" character on this show. He's got the classic soap opera name--and a textbook soap opera voice, deep and dramatic. (But he's still kinda creepy to me. Too straight-arrow, if that makes sense.)

Re: Sally, the actual actress died - I don't think they even had time to properly write out her character :-(

My favorite part of B&B was when they brought in SHEILA, THE NUTTER BUTTERS NURSE from Y&R to wreck havoc on Ridge, Brooke, Thorn, etc.

I think they gave Sally a fitting sendoff, off-screen--something about her selling her company, moving to an exotic country, and surrounded by cabana boys. :) :)

Heh, you gotta love Stephanie Forrester.

Hey - what was Donna talking about when she said Stephanie caused Brooke's rape?

More like set things in motion. At the time, Stephanie was trying to prove Brooke to be an unfit mother and have custody of her children given to Ridge--so, thinking Brooke would jump any man who came her way, Stephanie convinced Andy Johnson, a lawyer, to pursue her. Andy ended up raping Brooke, and told her he'd sabotage her chances of gaining custody of her kids if she reported him.

Interesting. So how did Stephanie 'convince' this Andy to take part in all this? Was there money involved? Otherwise, I don't see how Stephanie is to blame.

Donna was saying that if Stephanie hadn't sicked Andy on Brooke in the first place, Brooke wouldn't have been placed in danger. Stephanie didn't know about what Andy was planning--but in this argument, that's a moot point to Donna.

Well, in true soap opera fashion, Taylor didn't die but was instead in a coma. She was kidnapped from the hospital by her Moroccan husband and replaced with a convincing dummy. Eventually, she came out of the coma and returned.
